Julien Allegre works mainly with used metal, transforming oil cans and barrels into sculptures. He contorts the metal to give it movement and structure to the volumes. His work oscillates between the archaic and the contemporary, reinventing the mythical figure and exploring themes of universality and origins. Some of his sculptures combine steel and stainless steel.
