Since 2008, Julien Allègre has been exploring the use of antique bronze in his works, creating a dialogue between the archaic and the contemporary. He also uses bronze solder to add colour to his sculptures.

Julien Allegre has developed a personal colouring technique for his bronzes, seeking to bring them closer to his artistic universe while challenging the connotation of preciousness traditionally associated with bronze.
